To meet the highest accessibility standards (WCAG AAA), abbreviations and acronyms need to be clearly recognizable for all readers. Editors can now mark up abbreviations directly in the content using the new “Abbreviation” button in the text toolbar.

Scrivito.provideLayoutComponent now lets you give proper feedback to the visitor in cases where the actual component requires some time to load and render itself. This usually short time gap can now be bridged by temporarily displaying, for example, a spinner, which can be accomplished using the new options parameter that lets you specify a loading component. It is now possible to specify an identity provider when ensuring that the application user is logged in: Scrivito.ensureUserIsLoggedIn ({ idp: "https://my.website.idp.com" }).
The Scrivito SDK now replaces
enumvalue names of external data that are used as placeholders with their display values (titles). For example, if anenumattribute is defined like shown below, the placeholders__work__and__done__would be replaced with “In progress” and “Done”, respectively, and not with “work” and “done”.
